Ninja Van Appoints Logistics Veteran Sham Alexandra as Regional Head of B2B

The addition to the Ninja Van regional team marks the next big step in the company’s movement to expand their services for businesses in Southeast Asia

KUALA LUMPUR, 17 October 2019 — Tech-enabled express logistics company Ninja Van announces the appointment of Sham Alexandra as the Regional Head of B2B, who brings a wealth of experience in domestic and crossborder express logistics services. As Regional Head of B2B, Alexandra will lead the regional expansion efforts to address the underserved
market of traditional businesses. Malaysia has been identified as the first country slated for the launch given the wealth of opportunities to streamline logistics and increase service quality.

“What excites me most is the combination of the great team at Ninja Van and the huge market opportunity ahead of us. The company caught my eye after I saw its exponential growth in the region’s logistics industry. In less than five years, Ninja Van’s can-do mindset has led the company to establish its presence in 6 Southeast Asian countries, providing 100% coverage with close to 1,000 stations and hubs. That enabled Ninja Van to deliver over 55 million parcels in 2018 alone! By taking advantage of this momentum, I believe Ninja Van will grow even further to become the top express logistics partner in the region,” said Sham Alexandra, Regional Head of B2B.

Ninja Van’s B2B sector will cater to the needs of businesses in Malaysia and Southeast Asia to streamline their logistics. Having mastered eCommerce last mile deliveries, one of the most demanding sectors in the logistics market, Ninja Van is now extending their tech-enabled operations to enable businesses to increase their efficiency with a central point of contact. Alexandra’s appointment as Regional Head of B2B will enable the company to curate first to last mile logistics solutions to corporate businesses including SMEs, Financial Services, Pharmaceutical and finished goods distributors with his expertise of the local market dynamics.

“Alexandra has an impressive track record in leading global logistic organisations and delivering revenue growth while continuously improving the organisation’s effectiveness. With his addition to the team, I believe this will further accelerate our growth and strengthen our market leadership position in Malaysia,” said Adzim Halim, Country Head of Ninja Van Malaysia. “Alexandra’s vast experience will play a key role in our transformation journey to cater to Malaysian businesses and enable them to further streamline their services from start to finish.”

For Immediate Release
Alexandra comes with 18 years of experience working in DHL’s express logistics sector. As the first employee at DHL Malaysia Global Mail currently known as DHL Malaysia eCommerce Solutions, Alexandra was led his team to establish and grow crossborder businesses of Malaysia and Southeast Asia. Towards the end of his tenure at DHL, Alexandra held Country Manager roles in Japan and Singapore, respectively.
